Impact
Progress made possible together
At The Grey Sunshine Project, we believe that meaningful impact is created when children gain access to mental health support and when future mental health professionals are equipped to serve communities with competence, compassion, and leadership.
Through our partnerships with schools, universities, educators, families, and mental health professionals, we are working towards strengthening school mental health ecosystems while building a growing movement of counselor-leaders committed to mental health equity.
Expanding Access for Children
Through counselling, consultations, workshops, and school-wide mental health initiatives, children in underserved schools are able to access support within environments they already know and trust. Our work also extends to teachers, parents, and caregivers, helping create emotionally safe learning spaces that nurture children’s emotional, social, and academic wellbeing.

Developing Counselor-Leaders
Through the Trainee Counsellor Fellowship, aspiring and early-career mental health professionals receive training, supervision, mentorship, and field-based learning opportunities that prepare them to work across children, families, schools, and communities. Fellows graduate with not only counselling skills but also a deeper understanding of mental health inequity, systems thinking, and leadership.
